Definitely worth a visit if your fortunate to be in that part of the States / (Maine)...
We made an unplanned visit to the railway after hours and end up having an escorted tour of the workshops and carriage sheds... the planned and current detailed restoration and new builds was very impressive.
New carriage, New Baldwin loco, Roundhouse and turntable all from scratch, and refurbishment works to take rolling stock to how it would have been originally...
They appear to have all the steam locos and rolling stock that was in Portland, due to the loss of the museum building... but what the future plans for those piece was not quite sure..
Change our schedule and went back the next day for a steam hauled strip .. well worth it, and very soon their next extension will open to passengers.
